Paulina Strayer

 

Paulina is a Chicago-based theatre director. Originally hailing from the land of rodeo and rough-housing, Paulina cut her teeth by carving space for the theatre arts in small ranch towns across Wyoming, including her home town Casper. Paulina co-founded Theatre Brút: a group dedicated creating fresh, risky arts experiences for Wyoming audiences through showcasing "art in the raw" theatrical pieces that provoke thought and push boundaries.

Paulina moved to Chicago to pursue more of the risky, intimate, and emotionally plumbing theatre that Chicago has branded so well. She is always hungry for adventurous theatre.

 

Currently in her final semester at Columbia College Chicago, Paulina will graduate with a BFA in Theatre Directing from Columbia College Chicago. She has also earned an Associate of Arts from Casper College in Casper, Wyoming. 

 

Paulina is passionate about new and under-produced works; and believes in a theatre built on possibility.
